Flower
shapes are a great way to identify a plant.
Here are some basic shapes we use in PlantID.net:
3 or 6 petals – evenly-spaced petals in groups of
three or six:

petals:

5 petals – five evenly-spaced
petals:

Irregular petals – petals not evenly arranged in a circle:
